It's my guess that they add as they add space to their server farm, and when increases there halt for a bit, so do increases to Gmail quotas. They were careful to not say they were going to infinity, but they are making clear that disk space should never be an issue in the functionality of a mail system. It should just always be there. I suspect they will continue to increase in bursts, some slower, some faster, but never continuous. |

counter stopped!
and this time it says "over 2000 megabytes (and counting) ...." it's not able to decide whether to keep the counter running or stopping it for now ..... internal Management squabbles? |

I can't wait until people start saying about other email accounts, "I have only a measly 2GB of storage in this mailbox! Pathetic! How do they expect anyone to use something like that??"

I think that Google has done what it set out to do. I find I'm no longer even noticing how much space I'm using. I never thought that would happen.

I have to say, all that space just makes me think they're evil. Who can trust this? They have to be up to no good to be offering all this space!
Just kidding...in case anyone wonders. |

You may be kidding, but I guess I'm cynical enough not to assume that they coudn't be up to "something evil".
