All these stories about amimals in Scandinavia keep you on the edge of your SEAT, unlike discussions e.g. on POP vs. IMAP elsewhere in EMD

Add a cam to a SEAL and it doesn't look so cute.

Are not these Seals being exploited. While saving the Government millions of dollars, they are being forced to wear these uncomfortable looking cameras (on their heads) - it's not such a good DEAL for them

Using such cameras with BEAR, moose, elk, seals, and other animals may improve scientific knowledge of their ecological niche.

The human race does much for the sake of science, in order to protect endangered species, while (at the same time) destroying their natural habitat.

I do FEAR that we have gone 'beyond the pale' in matters such as this

I am sure that the animals do not find that GEAR very pleasant to wear. I think protecting them is terrific; however, making them uncomfortable in the process isn't a great solution. Perhaps other methods could be used.

Chaucer would have used "GERE" in the previous message, had EMD been around in the 14th century

Hear hear! Chaucer would make a very good topic for discussion, methinks. Out HERE (in my neck of the woods) I do often think that I am living in the 14th century.
