Any chance fastmail will add the feature to send scheduled emails in the future?

Yes. It's already built into JMAP.

I'm not really sure what jmap is but i use the web/app version of fastmail if that makes any difference.

JMAP is the protocol used by Fastmail, including the web app. Scheduled send is a feature of the protocol and server, and just needs development and testing as a user feature.
