Its difficult, if not impossible.
The least that you need to do is use a VPN. However, its just not the IP address but by canvas fingerprinting and host of ad networks that track you through. Its mind boggling. Lots of Google analytics code here on this website as well!!! |

Personally, I think it is almost impossible to hide if someone determined and skilled is trying to find out about you or track you, but remaining anonymous to the vast bulk of people is easy. Just do the same things everyone else is doing and be a needle in a haystack of billions. Unless you have reason to believe someone is trying to track you or do some sort of harm there is not much to worry about. The vast bulk of Internet problems are random crimes that don't target any individual, and if you get targeted by someone who knows what they are doing there is not much you can do to avoid them--witness Bin Laden.
