Sorry, but that "apology" is typical corporate speak for saying "we're sorry we made you mad, but we're going to continue doing what made you mad." Sure, they have temporarily restored the functionality for the remainder of a person's term, but apparently when it is time to renew you will be forced to pay more to keep that functionality. Tutanota is not alone in doing that as we have all seen recently with Fastmail changing their plans quietly. Obviously they thought they could make these changes without enough people complaining and leaving, but that must have not happened. Money talks in a situation like this, and they must have noticed that subscribers were voting with their wallets. There is nothing evil about this, and it is all too common as companies grow. They lose touch with their users as everything becomes more and more driven by the people in the accounting department.

I am not buying this either. To put it mildly, it is questionable to reduce the scope of services in the middle of a prepaid term.

Not buying it ether. What a bunch of bullony.

Any other views I have of this would not be appropriate for this forum.

If I was a subscriber I would cancel my account immediately after reading that.
