Related: another corporate response, this to the UK counterpart of CISA
Apple calls on UK government to scale back snooper's charter The Guardian, Dec 21 Apple said it was worried about the scope of the bill as many of the provisions in the bill apply to companies regardless of where they are based, giving the bill international scope, despite being a purely domestic piece of legislation. It also runs the risk of placing companies in a damned if they do, damned if they don’t position ... [Tim Cook] said: “We believe very strongly in end-to-end encryption and no back doors. We don’t think people want us to read their messages. We don’t feel we have the right to read their emails. Last edited by pjwalsh : 23 Dec 2015 at 12:52 AM. |

I'm not quite sure about how seriously to take this email service.
Back in 2000, playing with HTML, I was aware of the fact that a website has to be tested with different browsers and different screen resolutions. And I wasn't doing this professionally, just as a hobby. Now, ProtonMail claims to have a super-secure end-to-end encrypted email service, with every line of code written on their own, announcing THE evolution of their platform fitting the needs of professional users, but they aren't aware of this basic stuff?!? |

How a small company in Switzerland is fighting a surveillance law - and winning
The Intercept, Jan 25 A small email provider and its customers have almost single-handedly forced the Swiss government to put its new invasive surveillance law up for a public vote in a national referendum in June. |

I use it and like it. I see no ads, could be my browser and two extensions I use (Palemoon, NoScript, and AdBlock Latitude). I have to use the old version but dont mind.
- bruce edit: but maybe I dont have too anymore? Not exactly sure why, but the new interface seems to be able to be worked with.. Last edited by somdcomputerguy : 10 Apr 2016 at 07:50 AM. |
