Yahoo does not want you to upgrade.

When they closed Y! Mail Classic, they had everyone agree to a new policy which actually scans email to return targetted ads, like Gmail. Now everyone is subjected to this policy so they naturally up'd the price of the ad free version which used to be somewhere at 20 bucks to 50 dollars. This means an average annual user's revenues in Yahoo! Mail is between 20 and 50 bucks.

I paid them the $#@! money & STILL GET ADS. No way to undo it. I ended up using Thunderbird, but the fact remains that I got ripped off.

The thing is, Yahoo simply does not want you to pay this Mail Plus option.
They make more money out of you with their ads and their email scanning system for target ads. 20 bucks was OK, 50 bucks is not and that's precisely what they wanted

That is a lie!!! (The wanting to scan for ads) the real reason they did this is so they can spy on ppl RIGHT OUT IN THE OPEN!! (Making people agree to this)

I have no desire to use thier crappy service anymore really!
