I doubt they are filtering based on the candidate like the article suggests. From what I read, gmail looks for keywords and the style of the message.
I have primary and promotion categories and subscribe to several weekly summaries from news/tech sites. It mostly works, none went to spam. I heard it "learns" if you simply move a few message to the other, but I don't see that. I get notifications either way so it's not a big problem. I am on a campaign (not US) list on outlook.com and several senders go to spam. False spam has always been a problem there. |
