Skiff Mail does not support IMAP/SMTP but does allow users to download free mobile apps on iOS, Android, and macOS. Skiff Mail is also available on all browsers.

Has FM changed their prices? What services have not increased pricing in the last few years?

I was charged about $40 per year from 2012 to 2019.

In 2020 that went up by $5 to $45, but they also started charging the (UK sales tax) VAT at 20%, so the total cost for me is now $54.

There was a 3% "non-sterling transaction" charge on top of that, as well - probably - as a not very favourable currency conversion rate, both courtesy of my credit-card provider.

I don't feel any of this is unreasonable.

good question.

although i have my doubts about some of them, i will have another look at mailbox.org. posteo sounds promising (1€ per month), infomaniak (1,50€ per month) or set up your own via mxroute (the only "problem" here is that mxroute operates outside the eu and therefore the basic data protection regulation does not apply).
