Fastmail still down?

Just wanted to see if anyone else is still unable to log into FastMail -- mine's been out all morning, both thru FastTest and webmail. I noticed a few posts earlier, but none now, so I hope I'm not the only one with this problem ... !

Well, seeing as nobody else seems to be having any problems, I'd welcome any and all suggestions! I was connecting fine last night, but this morning I haven't been able to get in thru FastTest, and I've been getting DNS errors trying to go to the webmail login ... help!

Unfortunately, routing issues can only be resolved on an ISP basis. You could try contacting your local ISP's tech support and see if they can check the route to fastmail.fm and reroute around Sprint.

I'm having problems too. :(

Hi!
I'm in Georgia and can't access fastmail.fm as well. I'm a 'net geek...and have tracerouted from several different places...no probs. This has never happened before. Odd.

Are there any official word out that sprint is the source of the problems?

Not sure....seems so.

Hi!
I just did a traceroute...it looks like sprint is the provider here at GSU and a internel traceroute (sprint to sprint) dropped packets...so I'd say so. I'm no expert at this, tho.

Problem was sprint in NYC....

Hi!
I just got a response from Sprint NOC. The problem was indeed theirs and is, according to them, fixed now. I still can't get there from here still and emailed them so. I'll post the response here as soon as they do so.

This fits with the experience I'm having (still down). If I traceroute through my ISP, it fails at the PNAP-NYI interface. If I traceroute through Sprint's traceroute site at http://oxide.sprintlink.net/cgi-bin/glass.pl, it works fine, EVEN THOUGH the last five hosts in my ISP's traceroute are the same as in the Sprint trace.

The route in both cases goes through one or more of Sprint's Atlanta servers, so since you're in Georgia, presumably you have the same problem.

So it's a problem at the PNAP-NYI interface that only affects certain sources.

Which is very weird. I have no idea how this can happen.

Edward

AH!!! but the last poster is correct. It is now fixed.

This is odd indeed....

Hi!
Yes...only some are affected. It's been an odd experience from the jump. Sprint's looking into it, tho. They seem on the job...
it may work tomorrow at the latest, I guess. Hmmm...time to rethink redundant email sources again...blah. More *ork.

Unhappy

I can reach the front page, but once logged in, trying to display the Inbox screen gives a DNS error...

I'm currently logged in without any problems.
But I'd still like to know what's going on...
