While I am grateful that SquirrelMail is available, it is slow to the point that usability suffers a bit. I only saw it being slow today -- never before.

I'm seeing that as well. Trying to narrow down whether it's the web server or the tunnel from Roost to London.

Webmail should be faster now. I think it was some temporary congestion between the two points.

Doesn't sound like a big problem for users as long as instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Well we're accepting voluntary migrations to the new platform. There might be a surprise for you guys here in there too...like two factor authentication for the control panel

Thankfully mxlogin is sort of contained from all of this. The growth of MX1 made its problems snowball, while mxlogin has maybe 5 clients left and no longer accepts new clients. Mxlogin can be sustained for quite some time. Eventually clients on it will be given the choice of a new reseller option that I think they will all jump on, as it will include an API and everything.

Roundcube and Squirrelmail are now both fully supported. Hopefully I will be adding in Horde (stripped down to webmail, not the full appliance).

I like this option, and I'm hoping Spamassassin gets tuned well. Out of the box, it is very blunt force and has too many false positives and misses some obvious spam.

I migrated to the new platform and it is working well. Jarland gave me some instructions to use imapsync to migrate my email. Not for the average user, but pretty easy.

Spamassassin is turned off in cpanel, at least it was on mine. I turned it on but don't like how it operates, but it can't be turned off once it is on. Just a note from my experience. I am assuming that all outbound mail will be scanned by Spamassassin and there may be some basic level of inbound filtering regardless of your cpanel settings. Whitelisting and such is very easy on the new platform in cpanel. Accessing the two webmail filters is easy enough, but don't forget the port number in the URL! IMAP has been fast and easy thus far. As always, Jarland has been prompt in response to any questions.

For the most part I'm trying to stay with cPanel functionality to avoid getting into the same mess I made previously. To scan outgoing mail you have to force spamassassin on all accounts, so that's why it couldn't be disabled. I'll keep working to improve the filtering

Funny you ask, as I'm wearing this SpamExperts t-shirt and I just got an e-mail back from one of their guys (cool guy, we've been conversing a lot). It's going to happen, and very unlikely that it will take longer than a week from now to have something in place.
