slow. why?
things seem slow. noticed i haven't gotten any emails all morning from people that usually email right back, so i sent myself 2 test emails from other accounts. one took 15 minutes, one took 10. any ideas on why this is and when it will be fixed? does it have anything to do with domain separation process

The domain sep. process probably has no effect on the speed of mail delivery.

It's not the domain separation process. J/R are asleep at the moment (I hope, at least), but I've been keeping an eye on the frontend for the past while. Queues were a bit large there for a while (not sure why) but they're slowly emptying out at the moment. There might still be a small delay but it shouldn't be very noticable.

As it happens, we have to rework our delivery mechanism for the domain split, which will have the side effect of making delivery faster. We hope to have this working today or tomorrow.
Last night there was a pretty major joe job which led to longer mail queues than usual. The new infrastructure will resolve that, as will a new server that we're bringing online in the next few days (a dedicated SpamAssassin machine! ) |

Nice
Hey perhaps then there would be headroom to add Razor-type checks (or DCC, etc)... |
