Best Antivirus to work with Thunderbird???

Hello everyone,

I've switched back to Thunderbird (TB) after a two year hiatus with MAILBIRD.

My only concern is that the antivirus seems to occasionally conflict with receiving messages.

I'm working on WIN7, with TB in POP3 mode, receiving emails from AOL only. Out bound emails are no problem.

However, as I open up the laptop in the AM, it seems to bring the overnight emails into the TB just fine. But during the day, many times I am noticing emails on the server which have NOT been brought into TB.

I'm currently using a brand new install of AVG free. I know the antivirus is causing the problem because whenever I see emails on the server, I disable the AVG, and they come in just fine.

Is there an antivirus which works better with TB?

Thanks in advance.

Take a look at Betterbird. I've used for the past couple years now, and I'm quite satisfied with it.
