Isn't it a Thunderbird extension, unrelated to FM?

I don't think so - well not quite/sort of.
<https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Thunderbird/Filelink_Providers> " Q: What storage services are currently supported? A: As of Thunderbird 13, we supporting YouSendIt. The UbuntuOne and SpiderOak storage services are planned for future releases. " " Q: Can you support service provider X or protocol Y? A: We plan to support SpiderOak and UbuntuOne in the future. We also have an "Up-for-grabs" project available if anybody would like to add support for more services or protocols. Developer documentation for the Filelink feature can be found here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Thu...link_Providers " |

I look at is in a similar light as IMAP - it is something that helps people use FM in different ways.
But I guess it's similar to an extension in that the way to implement it would be to write an extension that works with FM's file storage - well, they do use the word extension, so literally it is. I wonder what changes would need to be made to FM to make it work, if any. I also wonder if there is anything similar in FM's web interface. |
