I have had an account with them for a month or so. Service has been reliable so far. Outgoing emails haven't been blocked as spam, so deliver-ability is good. They claim 100% deliver-ability but I don't know if they are using a 3rd party like Mailchannels. MXRoute uses Mailchannels so I feel confident in that.
Mailcheap looks to use "Modoboa" for their front end stuff, quarantine management, new user setup, and so on. I could not set up my domains myself. I had to open a ticket, but they answered within minutes and set up my domains and DKIM. I am able to set up user accounts, aliases, etc. Their webmail is SOGo, which works well and is a newer version, but sometimes is slow. IMAP works well, as does ActiveSync through SOGo. I am in the midwest U.S. and they are using OVH for servers, and I think I hit somewhere in Canada. Spam filtering has been OK. Looks to be mostly black lists, Spamassassin with adjusted and custom rules, etc. For the price, I would recommend giving them a shot! |

I don't have an apple device that I can test with. I am using the Nine app on Android and it works well. It seems to be push, because I get the email on my phone very quickly. I haven't noticed any bad effects on my battery.

Basic plans are currently undergoing a much needed update in terms of permission management, etc. and will be available in 1-2 weeks. This would mean you can add domains (unlimited) w/out contacting support.
Push email is available as standard with IMAP IDLE and MS Activesync. We use our own filter and relay system which ensures near 100% deliverability by resending 5xx IP rejects. Best Regards, Pavin Joseph. |

I worry about the mail relay as well. So far I haven't had any deliverability issues, but I haven't sent many either. The big ones I test sending to include yahoo, Outlook, Gmail, which seem to block IP's of unknown reputation first. I feel better with MXroute spending the money it does on Mailchannels. |

Basic plans are currently undergoing a major upgrade wrt permission management; we also have new upcoming products like cross DC active-active redundant HA enterprise email plans.

Our website page for Dedicated SMTP relays -similar to premium relay addon- has a nice infographic about this. |
