New messages in non-inbox folders - thunderbird - counts not updating
I have a number of folders defined in fast mail. I have managed to get all the imap stuff setup for thunderbird - my mail client of choice. I have my own domain, and I use the feature that directs email to somefolder@me.com into a folder of the same name, if it exists. It's a really handy feature to help sort incoming mail without having to resort to rules.
When new mail comes into the inbox, it updates and shows that there is new mail, but thunderbird does not do a scan of the other folders for new mail. I have to select each folder one by one for it to read in the new messages and updated the unread counts. It may be that the inbox is the first/default folder that is opened within thunderbird, so it may be just updating the inbox unread count because of this. Through the web interface, I can see at a glance the unread counts on the other folders. Does anyone know if there is an option in thunderbird (or is it something in fastmail) that can be enabled to get this behaviour? |

Also, see this if you want all folders checked when TB starts. And welcome to the EMD forums. |
