Incoming and outgoing email charset

Hi guys,

I'm with eumx all this while and never had this problem before, however recently I decided to try out Fastmail hence I paid for Ad-free+additional space purchased.

However to my surprise, Fastmail couldn't handle charset the way OpenWebMail (eumx.net) does. I have emails received as Traditional Chinese (Big5), they read fine in Fastmail, however when it comes to reply/forward the same mail (in text mode), all the characters went haywire with strange symbols.

I wish there is a feature to let user define "Charset for composing" in Options and from the Composing screen, just like OpenWebMail.

Please let me know if this is workable. Thanks alot.

If you run a search (in the Fastmail forums) using:

'charset AND compose' (without the quotes) you will find a few threads about this deficiency.

Here is one of them.
