Been listening to my Sting collection just lately, and decided his best album (for me) is "The Soul Cages". _Malc |

Brian Wilson presents ...Smile
This was intended to be the ground breaking Beach Boys album to follow "Pet Sounds" in the late 60's. But it was never completed or released until 2003, some 35 years later!! BTW, does anyone know what "sunny down snuff" is? as in the line from "Heroes and Villains" ..."and sunny down snuff I'm alright by the heroes and villains". _Malc PS ~ Beach Boys - Pet Sounds |

Hey, you plebeians It's the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth...so go out and get a couple or three Mozart CDs. Recommendations:
the "Great" Mass in C minor, K.427; Sir Neville Marriner, Academy of St Martin in the Fields, et al. Symphony No. 41; Sir Thomas Beecham, Royal Philharmonic Piano Concertos Nos. 21 and 27; Rudolf Serkin, piano; London Symphony, Claudio Abbado, cond. |

I just yesterday bought Love by the Beatles, and just started to listen to it. It's an 80-minute-long, 26-track "megamix" of many songs, produced by Sir George Martin and his son Giles, and so far it's everything I've heard it is and more!
Strongly recommended. (edited to correct the details — I've now heard a lot more of it, and it's still strongly recommended.) Last edited by robert@fm : 24 Nov 2006 at 05:46 AM. |

I just listened to Love this morning! The Beatles have always been one of my favourites, so it was great to hear remixes of some of my favourite songs.
And I have a copy of something called Mozart's Greatest Hits...seems like it would be a little tough, narrowing it down from all that music... |
