80% of users are back
80% of users are now back on server4. It's now 4am, so I'm going to try to get three hours sleep. Restores are continuing to run in the meantime, although of course new mail isn't being delivered to server1 users.
Incidently, it's my birthday today - not a great way to spend it! |

Joyeux Anniversaire, Jeremy!
I think the worst is behind us now. Thanks for the updates and please do take some rest.

Looks like I'm in the last 20%
Hopefully I'll get access to my enhanced account by this evening -- it's just past noon here now. CS |

Happy birthday, Jeremy.
This morning when I woke up, my account was back up. So I'm happy about that. But there's no papering over what happened. By the way, why is Jeremy the only one updating/responding on FM's side? Where is Rob, Bron, and everyone else? |

You are not alone. I'm still waiting too. Jeremy: I wish you a happy birthday, at least in your offline life. Fortunately to me, my business is not suffering TOO MUCH because my messages are delivered to FM and to another place. So I can read PART OF my new mail in another service. But I recommended Fastmail to some of my customers, and 2 of them had serious problems yesterday (friday). |

emails won't be bouncing back or lost while the queueing is suspended, will it? Cause I don't want certain emails bounced because that might get me deleted from something I am subscribed to.

Happy Birthday Jeremy
Poor bloke - what a way to have to spend your birthday! And yes, where are Rob, Bron et al through all this? Presumably working on the problems ... My account still down, but my backups are all in place so if anything urgent was needed I'm covered. It'll be back eventually Plus it's Saturday night and beer's good |
