mail.com account on iphone/Thunderbird

Hi,
I have an email account ending @email.com
Suddenly I can no longer send emails from either my iphone or Thunderbird client.
I can receive emails fine.
I haven't changed any settings.
Everything was working fine yesterday.
Please help urgently.
Thanks in advance
R

Are you using the app or trying to use IMAP, as I thought they were limiting IMAP or Pop to premium members only, last time I looked.

I dont know why..but I have an mail.com account and set it up in Thunderbird (just for fun) and IMAP worked..!!
This is an old account which I have at least 9 or 10 years...so I dont know if this is working with newer accounts. BTW it is a freebie.

I was trying to use IMAP, and you're right, further research has shown that IMAP is a paid for service.
However, since posting, everything seems to have retunred to normal, and I can access via IMAP without a premium subscription. How strange.
Thanks for your help.
