Hello everyone. It's been a while since my last post. I want to welcome everyone to participate in our beta testing for our new version of SCRYPTmail.

We've completely redesigned existing service and added tons of new features, like Google Auth or Yubikey, send and receive PGP encrypted messages with attachments to single or multiple users, spam filter, folder expiration, signature and custom names for each alias. Option to import or export PGP key from third service. And many more.

If you are interested to receive a link, and willing to help us, please create an account in our existing service or if you have one send me email at: betatest@scryptmail.com

Thank you,
Sergei

That is great news.

I have one question:

- How does scryptmail plan to pay for itself? Are you guys going to offer a premium account?

I agree, turning on Google Auth (or YubiKey) makes me feel better about my logins being protected.

what does this message mean? "Due to system system updates your account must be upgraded before continuing to your inbox. The upgrade process may take several minutes to complete."

Hi ccl1,

It was a major upgrade both behind the scenes and to the interface.

https://blog.scryptmail.com/we-are-moving-2/

While some email services can migrate behind the scenes, due to the nature of the encrypted email accounts, we're not able to perform the migration of an account until a user logs in.

If we could modify your account while you're not logged in that would be a concern

I'll get a link to that blog added to the upgrade screen. Would that have offset your concern?

no, it isn't necessary. I went ahead and upgraded, but was as I feared. it upgraded me to the new ui. But I actually preferred the older, original ui better. I guess this upgrade was mandatory in order to get past that message.

Yes, the upgrade is required.

Is there anything specific you'd like to see changed or have the option to rearrange in the new interface?

nothing specific, but it just looks rather generic now. the old ui, while pretty minimal, had a unique look and style unto its own.

Is it fair for me to spin this into a vote to create a feature that enables edit/upload of custom styles?

Including the creation of "SCRYPTmail Classic" of course

custom styles would be interesting. However, I would be interested on the level of customization. When I think of themes from other companies (like gmail and outlook etc) the gui stays the same, and is just recolored.
