EuMX - Opinion?

Why I just kept one as spare one, not using for anything important.

1. EuMX make different sent/draft etc folder in different interfaces (I've faced during OWM-RC and Afterlogic-RC). Simply annoying. Even my web hosting company's email (through cPanel) can handle interface change more professionally.

2. Website/Lack of updates.

Also address books are interface-specific.
In practice I use one interface 99.9% of the time, so I'm not too bothered.

I've given my opinion in this thread but I'll copy it here:

"As far as I know, EuMX is a 1-man deal.

I asked Rudolf several times and he said it's not only him, but I'm not entirely sure he was telling the truth. I've never seen anyone other than him answering questions. Not via email nor via forums. There's perhaps more, but if Rudolf became unavailable, do you think the other guys would care about EuMX? I'm not going to bet my emails and personal data on that.

Also, why is eumx not defaulting to https?

It's very clear that eumx is a side/hobby project. If you've no problem in having your emails and personal data in such a project, then by all means, use it. I see no reason to use EuMX with all the alternatives out there (more professional alternatives)."

Also, it seems that getting a reply from EuMX support is hit and miss. They always replied to me. However, a friend of mine says that he stopped getting answers from them.

It's email. It works; email is not rocket science - EuMX works fine.

You're right. Despite the good track record of the recent years, this is a scary thing.

Yeh, it seems so. Probably the credit of reliability goes to the hosting company.

There is Rudolf and Fabule who has posted on this forum as a representative of eumx.net many times.
