Filter 'New Posts' by forum?
Is there a way (for individual members) to filter 'New Posts', eg to exclude 'The Off-Topic Lounge'?
I have no objection at all to the various games, but I have no interest in them either. This morning 16 out of 19 'New Posts' items were Off-Topic Lounge games. Alternatively, could individual threads/games be hidden/filtered out? (For individual members.) |
This is something I've been looking for as well, and I discovered instead of using the 'Quick Links/Today's Posts', you can subscribe to threads.
For example the "About this site" forum. Click on that forum name, then go to 'Forum Tools' and select 'Subscribe to this forum'. You can then choose if you want notifications, etc. I've subscribed to all forums except the off-topic one. I've saved a bookmark link as: http://www.emaildiscussions.com/usercp.php |
Aha, good solution. Thanks.
I think this link might work better for me: http://www.emaildiscussions.com/subscription.php (ie listing threads rather than subscribed forums). But I'll try both of them over the next few days and see how I go. No, I retract that. Just realised that my link is only listing threads that I've subscribed to (usually be contributing something). Should have interpreted the name of the list ('Subscribed Threads') more carefully and checked before I wrote. |

Im sorry we are piling so many games in that section....... I know most ppl come here for email type stuff..... I think we should have a seperate section for games and then everyone can just skip searching that section when they search for new activity :)
