Mail App on iphone
 

Hi,
I switched from Gmail to a smaller email provider and was trying to use the native mail app on my iPhone 12 (iOS 14). It is missing large blocks of emails from the past couple years. I can seem to figure this out. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it. I have removed the account 3 times and re-added it. I don't have any of these issues with the third party apps like Edison, Spark and Airmail. Any thoughts?

How are you connecting.

If you go into account settings it may tell you how many days it’s syncing from the server, this might be the reason.

That used to be the case, but not anymore. At least if you use imap.
The mail app now takes care of this itself. How? I don't know.
