easy fix
use Firefox with ad block plus and no script. No ads no problems. Allow the sites you like and don't worry about the other crap.

Tired of waiting
For a calendar, instant messaging. So I found something that does the trick for free. UVC Universal Village Collaboration Suite. Anyone else use this? Great for work to check my boss schedule as well...
