Changing style sheets in Mozilla/Firebird?

Is this just something that can be done in IE? (Tools>Internet Options>General>Accessibility>User Style Sheets) Or can this be done in Mozilla/Opera/Netscape/Firebird/etc as well?

Just asking in case I want to use style sheets that aren't uploaded to FM servers yet...

I just tested this (all on WinXP) with IE, Opera and FireBird/Mozilla. The results;

With the "Custom Windows C:\custom.css" setting:
- Opera 7.23 : didn't work...
- Firebird 0.7 : didn't work...
- Explorer 6.0 : style sheet was loaded...

With the "Custom Windows C:\custom.css (Alt)" setting:
- Opera 7.23 : didn't work...
- Firebird 0.7 : didn't work...
- Explorer 6.0 : style sheet was loaded...

I don't know how/if this feature works on other platforms. There seems to a option for Unix systems, but as this didn't work with either FireBird or Opera...

I suspect this is one of the main reasons that the option to store custom in the FileStorage area has been so much requested...

(Sets style sheet preference back to Naturals, deletes C:\custom.css and moves on to next thread...)

It does work on Mozilla/FreeBSD. In my case the path was ~/.mozilla/default/tt73ooq5.slt/chrome

Since you are setting the styesheet to NONE, rather than a path, does that mean that the styesheet will get picked-up on other sites?

I think that the userContent.css will be used wherever there are no site styles set, i.e site styles take precedence over user styles. If you wanted to use your own styles on all sites you visit you would need to use the !important directive.

This site has a nice introduction to customizing Mozilla Firebird

Actually, it didn't work. I have the display style set to NONE, but it's actually showing ordinary professional blue.

Ok shutting down Mozilla did it (I did try that the first time but I think I missed a download complete dialogue box, or something)

The upside is that all the warnings about insecure content, caused by the images, go away. The downside is that any background image ends up on other websites, where it does horrible things to the text.
