New 100 mb webmail account

http://www.myquickmail.us/

Certainly appears true, they need to update their tagline, though.

There seem to be lots of hivemails -- Google shows 456 this way:

We use Postfix and Openwebmail. Any opinions about the superiority/inferiority of these compared to Hivemail?

Regards,

Hektor

Since HiveMail doesn't yet support POP3/IMAP access or Forwarding, I don't use it.

But OpenWebMail is very nice.

Yeah, we like Openwebmail too , it has been quite stable over the past few months. We also use other Open Source support it however we can (a small donation as of now and contributing the features we have added on to Openwebmail).

I signed up for myquickmail.us and looked around, and I found they have several paid account options. One of them is for $1000 a month to become an admin! No serious service would make an offer like that.

They also list a $5.95/mo account with benefits like "unlimited mails", "1000 recipients per message", "500,000 contact database". Maybe it's just me, but that sounds like an amateur spammer's paradise!

COULD NOT SIGN-UP

I have tried several times to sign-up new account but, on every attempt, after clicking button "sign up" I get the following error message:

"The page can not be displayed."

If indeed they are marketing to spammers they will probably end up on enough blacklists soon enough.

Does anyone have any opinion on how detrimental it is to an email service to be on a blacklist?

We certainly do not market ourselves to spammers, as every service of ours is free. However we do have spammers register and use our services without our knowledge, so it is possible to get on a blacklist.

Hektor

I'm not saying that they *intend* to market themselves to spammers. I just have a bad feeling that with deals like that, they'll likely *get* spammers, whether they want them or not.
