Cannot add attachments with Opera 6.05
I am using Opera 6.05 and I can press the 'Choose' button and pick a file to attach, but when I press the 'Attach' button it just takes me back to my mail, with no attachment and the URL is now:
http://www.runbox.com/mail/send Not getting any Javascript errors (I have notification enabled in Opera), I have tried various filetypes etc with no luck. I have also searched the forums with no luck. Anyone got any ideas? |

It's still not fixed for me
![]() It works fine using Internet Explorer but with Opera (6.04 or 6.05) I cannot attach anything to my messages. I don't get any errors or 'page not found' errors, it just does not attach the message (normally you get the attachment checkbox indicating you have attached something. Anyone else using Opera 6.04 or 6.05 without this problem? |

Hmm, I haven't had any reports of this problem that were unrelated to the general attachments problem mail2 me alluded to - what is your OS?

My OS is Windows 2000 Professional 500.2195 Service Pack 2
I have found out the following: in the Opera config. under Network -> Browser Identification you can set it to 'Identify as Opera' or 'Identify as 'MSIE 5.0'. If set to 'Identify as MSIE 5.0' Runbox attachments DO work, but as 'Identify as Opera' they don't work. This is a workaround, but unfortunately if I set to MSIE 5.0 other on-line tools I use don't work properly! I know from experience that this problem is to do with the way different browsers handle Javascript and how most Javascript has to try and identify what browser it is running on etc. |
