how to name an "app password" AOL for a email client
How exactly should a user name an app password to use AOL in a third-party app? What rules to use? What format to use? Is this simply variable and we give the "app name" anything we want?
edit: What I mean is, when we tell AOL the name of the app to which we could put in the "app password". |

FOUND! Naming is flexible but the program might not accept certain types of combinations of letter/characters. I gave an abbreviated and coded "app" name just to help later to know how I picked THAT email client on THAT machine. I had to try giving a name twice; one slightly different than the other. I do not know exactly the needed rules.

Personally I would use the device name rather than the app name.
