Cool riseup.net will be replaced with a new server!

The server is older than me!

Invitations

I've heard several positive comments and reviews about this service. However, it requires an invitation. I would be grateful if someone could extend me an invitation to use the service.

PS: I've heard that this service is pretty stringent in providing invitations.

"We were having several new accounts causing problems for others in cases that go from from sending spam to harassment. As an emergency option we reduced the amount of accounts that can create invites while we figure out a better way to proceed with this. We are sorry for the problems this could be producing, but we have not an easy problem to solve here and we need time to figure out the next steps."

Captcha in more places, and strict server settings 2 factors might help include mobile verification

I thought you didn't need an invitation, but you had to explain why you thought you "deserved" an account.

Since it is fairly tight, I believe they would safeguard the system and users better.

Through my investigation, I discovered that they provide limitless VPN service. This is exactly what I need right now because I cannot pay commercial services.
