Cool I like the forums because...

I was struck by how friendly everyone was when I first came to this site. Very friendly. Another thing, is you can ask any question and they don't make you feel silly. I have learned a bit and am still learning just by reading several posts.

I enjoy the forums because...

They are really a place to express your opinions and learn. I have learned so much from being here, its like an ongoing source of current data. I also like the community aspect of it, everybody is really nice and people here really feel like friends. There is a lot more, but those are some reasons I really enjoy these forums.

I like it because of the community, the learning, the ability to get my problems resolved, the fact that no question is a stupid one, and that it's a fun and friendly place here!

All the reasons given above, for which a lot of credit has to go to Edwin. And of course, having Fastmail's help forum here is a great plus. All in all it's the most addictive forum I've ever come across.

I really like how no one ever mocked my (sometimes obvious) questions...and this is one of the best places to go to find out about new email accounts!

Edwin really shows his long experience in group discussions (going back almost 10 years on Usenet!). He manages to recognise potential problems early and takes appropriate action. It was an interesting experience for the moderators while he was away when we realised how very hard it was to know when to take action and just what to do.

Thumbs up

It's a great place to keep tabs on web-based email service providers.

Talking

Top 10 list from San Francisco, California. Today's top-ten list question -

"What do you like best about the EmailDiscussions forum?"

10) Great for insomnia because posters from all over the world.

9) Can instantly get questions answered, whether they're computer related or not.
(By the way, where do babies come from?)

8) Where else can we talk about the love lives of the Fastmail founders?

7) Where else would the end of free onebox.com be considered a crisis?

6) People look at you funny when you tell them tell them at cocktail parties that you post on an email forum.
"You mean you email each other to talk about email?"

5) You can learn how to set your cat as an alarm clock.

4) If you really like a service, you can just add the word "group" next to your user ID.

3) If you really don't like a service, you can just add the word "sucks" at the end.

2) They put up with fb19 (well, so far at least...)

and the number one reason for what's best about EmailDiscussions.com is.....

1) Gotta love those censoring asteriks when you posts words like ****, ****, and ******* ! ! !

.

.

I could think of many ways to turn it off. But I won't post them because I don't want the animal rights activists to come after me....

(just kidding of course... I love cats.)
