Thunderbird - some received emails are plain text not HTML
I am using Thunderbird 91.5.1 (64-bit) on a Macbook Pro.
When I receive an email from a person the text is always in HTML. When I send myself a bcc and the email comes in the text is sometimes plain text and sometimes HTML. Why is the bcc email sometimes HTML and sometimes plain text. Is there a setting to make the received bcc messages always HTML. I am also using the latest version of Thunderbird on a Windows 10 Professional 64-bit PC. This also happens with that Thunderbird package too. Thanks very much - Bill Last edited by artmanphoto : 1 Feb 2022 at 01:17 PM. |

Bill, thanks for your help!!
When I checked your answer Composition & Addressing in account settings I had compose messages in HTML In the Thunderbird settings Composition Send Options I had Text Format checked as you thought I might. I have now unchecked that box. I will wait and see if any of my Bcc messages come in as plain text or HTML. Thanks again for your help - I really appreciate it! Bill |

What's the point of permanently banning someone, but leaving their posts, including the spam links, in place?
