Going down the drain
Recently, there is a lot of spam on these forums, which is to be expected, I guess... there do not seem to be many moderators around either, though there are many on the books - one of them will drop around here soon, hopefully...

Yes alot of sites are dying and its quite sad........ GOOD SITES like this should be valued and not abandoned! (This is mucho better than VB4 or 5) |

I do suggest (as a Christmas present to all) Bamb0 should be granted moderator status!

When I logged in to EMD this morning, I saw a plethora of pap posted.
Disappointing to say the least, that it was happening again. Also disappointing that, one of these spammers - givemeabreak - had posted 3 times. Even MORE disappointing, these posts were VIEWED over 190 times! Hands up all those, so sad that they HAD to read them? |

Sorry, I opened some of them to report as spam to the moderators. Is that wrong? Is there another way?

I suspect that Fred's comments were directed at those who viewed the threads and took no action... Last edited by David : 1 Dec 2015 at 08:16 AM. |

I guess this is what's happening when I am on vacation...
Just came back from a month long trip to Australia and New Zealand (great countries to visit!). I guess besides JeffK and me, very few moderators show up for work...
Anyway, it should be clean now. Please continue reporting posting rules violations. Let's keep in neat and friendly! |

I've heard that one before.
The point I was trying to make earlier, was that the forum is attracting spammers, to get their product/point advertised, and quite a few people looked at those spam posts yesterday. Successful result for the spammers? |
