Dan,
Thanks for digging this one up! Great thread, especially FromLine's Top10 list! Here are my reasons, in random order: 1) Hi, I am Kander... and I'm an EMD Addict. 2) Great moderation. A bit tight on the rules sometimes, but highly effective! 3) Chance to learn about new providers before the rest of the world does. 4) Ever had a problem? Chances are great someone here knows a solution, or can at least point you in the right direction, both on computer-stuff and 'real-life' things. 5) The People, especially those who hang around here often... patient with the new people, friendly to all, creative in their solutions. Goooo EMD! A plethora of other reasons could be named, but these are the most important ones. Quasar... poor ol' quasar. I believe he requested that his account be removed ... there was a thread about this, somewhere, sometime. --K Last edited by kander : 18 Oct 2003 at 09:52 PM. |

1) Learning about all the different email sites. And learning peoples experiences with certain emails.
2) Im addicted with this forum 3) All the members of EMD . 4) There is never really any spam here. Or any inappropriate things posted, because of all the good moderation. 5) There Is a specific forum for Fastmail, and Runbox. (now I just need one here for mailsnare ) Those are my top 5 reasons. ___________ Spin |

Forums are GREAT
Forums are GREAT... quick replies, good information, literate posts, no moronic, obscene, irrelevant rants and personal attacks, just well-informed discussions by people who obviously like what they are doing and know what they are talking about. Glad I clicked.

Re: Forums are GREAT
I don't think I could have said it any better, deneb654. Welcome to the Emaildiscussions.com Community
And you're right, it's a great place, and (I think) we all like to be here and help others out. And most of us know what we're talking about, and if we don't, others will teach us quickly, so that next time we'll be able to help others. It's how I learned most of the things I know about email, just by reading posts here. --K |

I still think the forums are great, although I haven't posted as much as I would like over the last few months!
I find they have a lot of great email information about past and present email services! Theres some real gems of info if you browse the old threads! |

To be honest, I came here purely for getting a gmail invitation...when it was scare like water in desserts
At that time, people were putting "conditions" for new joinies to get gmail invitiees so though I was little upset by this "unfriendly" behaviour..but as I started posted forced by these conditions, I realized real wonder of these forums Friendly, people respecting each other, no personal attacks, virtually no need of moderation etc etc...since then I am stuck up with EMD |

This board is the only one that I visit and post to with regularity. The other boards I belong to I only post once in a while, probably less than 10 times per year, not through any fault of their making. It's just this board is much more fun. (The Storm aka Stormcrow digs up another old thread ) |
