I doubt it. I would figure they must hand over everything they have access to, related to a specific IP/user/account/etc.


That article hints that something particularly unusual about that request differentiates it from other requests, and this request couldn't be appealed. I wonder what legal situation/tactic was afoot.

I doubt most of those could be appealed in any way shape or form. Due to the time sensitive nature of collecting data to catch a criminal, I doubt there's much room for anything.

When they say they "fight it" I'd say, they're most likely filing a protest.
