Not al all! He always used perfect grammar and precise speech with NONE of the slang. Better than I (or should it be 'better than me"?)

I don't know if that topic ever did RATE mention by the authors. John Reid (the Lone Ranger) was a Texas Ranger before their group was ambushed and Tonto nursed him back to health. But I don't think there was much discussion of his childhood.
