Yep, it's a typing error. It's actually "morse code". It's where dots and dashes can make words. Someone else can explain how it's been used for many years.

Heh. Possibly the only reason I came up with it is because of Terry Pratchetts novell Lords and Ladies (or was it Wyrd Sisters?) where Morris Dance and maypole references are sprinkled throughout the story.

The way to remember this is that it's also a Morse V (for Video) backwards.

(I wonder if Samuel Morse chose ···— as V because it's the first bar of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, and V is the Roman numeral for 5; or is this a coincidence?)

Anyway, I believe most people (especially women) are the more attractive in their 30, but it is largely a mental thing... IMHO
