Thunderbird - deafult "From" address
I am now using Thunderbird for my email as I now cannot stand the Yahoo! web interface any longer. My account is ex-Oddpost and I still use my @oddpost.com email address, buth there is also another email address associated with my account, my Yahoo! ID @yahoo.etc... I very seldom use this address as I prefer the Oddpost one which I have been using since 2002. Trouble is, (I think due to the IMAP server information you enter into the client) Thunderbird always uses the @yahoo address by default, and I have yet to find a way to change it so my @oddpost automaticall appears as deafault From address in the compose window. Can anyone help me?

Right Click on the Yahoo server and choose "Settings."
Change the E-Mail address line. This will not change the name used to login to the server, which is in the "Server Settings" panel. You can also choose the "Manage Identities" button and associate multiple e-mail addresses and names with one account. You then select the one you wish in the From pull down menu in compose mail. |

Nice to know I`m not the only one who uses their oddpost.com address once in a while.
