Atlantis would cover and protect herself with a generated shield-like Dome. None of the affected U.S. Eastern Seaboard areas had this kind of protection, though.

ROME has some domed buildings, but they don't experience hurricanes in Italy.

While some might prefer the opulance of Le Dome Cafe, I do prefer myself care to visit, and eat, at the teashop, at Brocksbushes farm - where the food and quisine, are the best of the best I will add

In downtown San Francisco, your CURE for boredom might be the Samovar Tea Lounge at Yerba Buena Gardens. You can choose to nibble inside or on the terrace outside. I sipped several cups of tea with my sweetbreads during my visit last year.
