Exporting Addresbook and Groups

I have tried exporting/downloading my address book using a number of
different formats (csv, vcf, etc) . In none of them does Fastmail include the group field.

In other words, I have my address book setup into two groups - friends
and family. When I export/download it, that data, whether someone is a
friend or family, is not included.

I am sure i am not the only one that uses the group feature and exports
their addressbook. What am I missing?

Unfortunately the group mapping data is not exportable. Fastmail, in response to a request I made, initially thought it would be an easy fix. However later they (Rob) said it was not easy to do, so it is now on the to-do list somewhere.

As a workaround what I do is hijack an unused field and populate that with the group name. It is an ugly workaround requiring potentially having to recreate actual groups if you ever need to upload the data. But still, it is a method of retaining group data.

When downloading the addressbook, I can only get the first three (max) addresses for any person. Does anyone know how to download all the info stored in the addressbook?

This is a problem because when new addresses are added, they go at the bottom, even if they are made default. When a backup is made, the most recent addresses are lost.
