If you already have an OS, monitor etc, you can push the cost of a new, low-end base station down to about 200 quid (including tax). |

Are we talking about the actual COMPUTER or the OS??
I am on Win98se... I think the computer is about 20 years old..... Trying my best to keep her happy and operating ok I always shut down when I am done because I like to let her rest..... Leaving it on 24/7 I think is abusive.... You should let your computer rest... Quote:
I just played the java version and on my first try got 1200!! |

I'd have to look up the receipt for this computer, I'm guessing around 2010.

Maybe me, if you're talking about who has the oldest main-use computer daily use.
I've never had a new computer - and also never paid for one. I'm using one now which was given to me when it was discarded by the company when they were upgrading. I'm guessing it's over 20 years old. |

What's the point of reviving a 18 year old thread? All threads should be closed after 5 years.

Nothing wrong with a date.... Why do people complain about such stupid things??
Its better than having multiple threads on the same topic ESPECIALLY ON THE SAME BASE!! Everything is ok Eric |

It gives those of us who weren't around back then a chance to see these posts for the very first time. As long as they're still relevant, that's all that matters.
