Everyone's idea of "CD's that should be in everyone's collection" is up to interpretation of what each of us think as awesome music....especially when it comes to my list. The ones that come to the top of my head are:
Anne Sophie Mutter's - "Vivaldi - The Four Seasons" Synchronicity - The Police Different Light - The Bangles Earl Klugh - Life Stories Phil Collins - No Jacket Required Genesis - Turn It On Again (that original white album that includes "Paper Late", not the new re-release) 'Til Tuesday - Voices Carry Herb Alpert and the Tiajuana Brass - don't know the album name but it's orange Jim Brickman - Picture This Suzanne Ciani - The Private Music of Suzanne Ciani Enya - Watermark Billy Joel - The Piano Man Billy Joel - Turnstyles Mr. Mister - Welcome to the Real World Aha - Take On Me B-52s - Whammy! Um there's more but that's enough for now. There's too many to list. Excuse me while I go listen to some music....... |

Enigma - MCM... (whatever)
Enigma - Cross of Change Enigma - Le roi est mort Sinnead O Conner - Lion and the Cobra Josh Joplin Group - Useful music Pink Floyd - The Wall Enya - Watermark Cranberries - No need to argue Dido - No Angel Nena - (anything, old albums are hard to impossible to get except compilations) Tori Amos - To Venus and Back I like Alanis Morissette too, but do not have an album Bandits - The original soundtrack (the German film, NOT the one with Bruce Willis, I mean the one where Jasmine Tabatabai sang all the songs in it - she is awesome, this counts as an album for me). Compilations - you didn't ask for this - but I really like the following soundtacks: Cruel Intentions The Beach |

Hey mklose, was Nena the one who had a hit with 99 Red Balloons? To my mind that was one of the best singles ever...
Whilst on the subject of German perfomers, I think Munchener Freiheit's Fantasy album was great (in fact, I named my Sinclair ZX-Spectrum website after the associated single). Too bad it was the only album of theirs to be released in the UK (and didn't stay on release very long)... |
