I can't think of a title for this...
Hi guys,
I'm from the UK and I am growing tired of Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. Mostly because I always end up with spam either pornography or phishing attempts to get my login information for various games I play. Not only that but I've recently been receiving emails from people pretending to be employers seeking new staff. So, I'm now looking for a new email, free or not free but affordable. Preferably based in the UK or stretching to Europe or Eastern America but ideally somewhere nearby to avoid unnecessary connection issues or downtime. I'm not looking for any fancy features. I only need one account for myself and the ability to signup without using an existing email. On a side note, I'd like to hear your thoughts on what a professional and personal email should look like. JoeBloggs, Joe.Bloggs, or JBloggs, for example. I am a little partial to JBloggs but Joe.Bloggs seems to be all the rage now. |

Personally I opted for EuMX several years ago and never had any issues when connecting from any country and is well regarded at this forum with reasonable price and excellent support.Don't be scared by the poor website of EuMX, their e-mail service is rock solid. However I would recommend to try them first and find which one suits your needs. |

Welcome to the forums, monkeycid!
As for UK-based email hosts, I'd suggest you take a look at Nethosted (www.nethosted.co.uk). They're technically a webhost, but they have email-only packages, too, and my personal experience with their support has been fantastic so far. To broaden your horison, I suggest you take a look at this thread that I started a while ago. Hope you find what you're looking for, otherwise do come back and ask for more information. Lots of knowledgeable people around always willing to help. Peter |
