Fastmail in Firefox won't keep my sessions?

Longtime Firefox user, but it seems that sometime within the last year or so something changed. I'd like to keep myself perpetually logged in, but every time I close down the app and reopen it, I have to start a whole new session. This of course leaves a bunch of "logged in sessions" in the settings which is also annoying.

Firefox is acting like it's not retaining cookies which is strange. I have set firefox to delete cookies when it closes, but I have an exception for https://app.fastmail.com. I have this going for other sites and it works fine and remembers, and this trick used to work in fastmail all the time too. When I leave the “delete cookies” setting off, it works just fine like it used to, so I think this is cookie related. Definitely click “keep me logged in” every time as well.

Not sure if anybody else is experiencing this, but I thought I'd check.

Hey everyone, I found the solution: Just add an exception for https://fastmail.com

This took me way longer to figure out than it should have. Fastmail switched over the URLS to include "app" in September/October 2022, but the cookies for whatever reason are still under the old URL. I figured this out by clicking on "manage data" and seeing the site the cookie was affiliated with.

For what it's worth, cookie management has changed on firefox recently, and those cookie settings do work slightly differently in very non-intuitive ways. You can check this forum post for more details on how it currently works.

Hope this helps other people on here.
