Yes, waiting for long time.

Tough competition to Google and Microsoft.

Elon Musk 's Gmail competitor?

I saw something about X or Elon Musk coming up with an email service that's going to be head to head competing with Gmail. Did anyone see anything about it?

There is already another thread about this topic:
http://www.emaildiscussions.com/showthread.php?t=80757

But his first name is not “Alon” and his last name is not “Mask” (as the other thread suggests). The name for the billionaire (originally from South Africa) is Elon Musk.

Ha! Seriously doubt Xmail will become a strong option for a main email address, even if millions of Muskrats sign up for it. Anyone who has used Twitter/X at all knows what a disaster their IT infrastructure and platform is.

No, thanks. I am very sceptic about X and Elon Musk, not because of his political ideology (to each his/her own believes) but because X has become a magnet for hate speech and fake news, including Musk engaging in spreading such messages. I don't necessary expect a network to share my own believes about politics or society, but I would expect some neutrality, as well as moderation and factchecking.

So I don't really believe X.com mail would be that trustworthy.
I really liked Twitter, but since the change to X I've not used the platform anymore (I am considering giving BlueSky a try instead). So why would I rely on that platform for email?

That said, @x.com would be a very neat domain for email. Short, recognisable. But that isn't worth the worries about security and more.

I second that.
