My main email are ZOHO (Official), Gmail (Primary/Catch-all) and organizational (outlook powered). Have few other provider for specific purpose, Yahoomail being one.

For the last 7-8 years seems development has stalled. And few known issues have no solution I am aware of.

1. Stuck with one 'alias'. Can't delete from old or new interface.
2. Can't delete all contacts at once or in bulk. Only one by one delete is possible.

Anybody use Yahoomail frequently, please suggest any solution.

I found these Python programs

on Github to get and purge Yahoo contacts using CardDAV (and they work. Tested on 1000 contacts)

To purge contacts, you need this file

Replace the lines 12 and 14 with your actual Yahoo credentials

USERNAME = "xxxxxxxxx@yahoo.com"
#This is "Application Password", not a main Yahoo Account password
PASSWORD = "application_password_16_digits"

Just run it as

python3 purgeYahooContacts.py

It is an interesting Github repo: it provides also the option to backup (using Python) Google, iCloud and Yahoo contacts (and AOL too as a subset of Yahoo).
I am able to backup my Google contacts every day (Linux cronjob) using one of its scripts.

As far as I tested, all contact backups work (Google, iCloud, Yahoo).

If these program do not work or you can't install Python for some reason, use DAVx5 on Android with these settings

CardDAV server (for DAVx5): https://yahoo.com
Login: xxx@yahoo.com
Password: Application Specific Password, not your main password

Access Yahoo Contacts using DavX5 on Android and to will be able to delete multiple contacts.

AOL (same backend as Yahoo, few URLs are different) CalDAV works too, by the way. The settings

CardDAV server (for DAVx5): https://aol.com
Login: xxx@yahoo.aol
Password: Application Specific Password, not your main password
