Plenty of Turkey, as it's US Thanksgiving day (hence the absence here), but I wouldn't CARE to eat that so soon before Christmas.

In Canada, we have our Thanksgiving in October, so there is a 2 month space. Thanksgiving is fun and the fellowship with friends and family is awesome. It is nice to celebrate all the blessings that we do have. One of the most important things is to remember to cook the turkey properly, so it isn't RARE, and no one gets food poisonning!

It's critical that you PACE your Thanksgiving dinner consumption to avoid that issue.

It is a FACT that most people tend to overeat on these special occassions; however, and may suffer various minor ailments afterwards such as tummy aches, indigestion, heartburn, etcetera.

So long as there are not too many saturated FATS, occasional over indulgence should not do any harm.

It's too early to start your between holiday FAST, since there will be a few days of Thanksgiving leftovers.
