Beware GMX dot com

I've been using GMX since last spring. Not a bad service I thought. They blocked my account in the early days. Not a biggy, they gave it back in a day or less with no explanation.

Today I am blocked permanently for reasons unknown to me. I'm not a heavy user and half a dozen emails in a day is a busy day. I'm not devastated by any means but one should exercise caution using them. Here is their mail.
"Dear GMX Member,

Thank you for contacting the GMX Support Team and for your patience as we looked into this issue.

We regret to inform you that upon careful investigation and review by our mail security team, it has been determined that the account in question must remain blocked.

At GMX, we place the highest priority on protecting the online security of all our customers. Unfortunately, this means we are occasionally forced to permanently block accounts that are associated with impermissible activity, as outlined in the GMX Terms and Conditions.

We understand that you may not be directly responsible for the activity that caused your account to be blocked, and apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this has caused. However, because the decision to permanently block an account is based on serious security concerns, it is not possible to reverse it or provide detailed information about the impermissible activity in question.

Thank you for your understanding and please accept our sincere apologies that we cannot further assist you in this case.

Kind regards,
GMX International Support"

I did test and try mail.com; about up to 2 years ago, and it was good, or at least acceptable. I have had nothing to do with it recently.

How so?

I've had a gmx.com account for several years. No issues.

I mentioned it already, gmt.com blocked my email address without any reason. There was no single mail sent from this account, I used it to get news subscription emails. They blocked it without warning.
