mail.com

Hello beeboy, and everybody else. (this IS my first post on the forum)

I have had the same happen to me a few days ago!
Never had any problem and now, out of nowhere, I'm blocked, and as it turns
out, perma-banned.
With my 10 aliases, and all my emails. For no reason.
After 19 years... I think this is totally outrageous.

Here it is:

"Hello Mail.com
When I try to login to my account for 19 years, er*****06@outgun.com,
I receive the following error message:
?Dear mail.com member, our system has detected irregular activity related to your account. As a precautionary measure, we have blocked your account.
To regain access, please contact our Customer Support.?

I have contacted Customer Support over a week ago about this, but got no reply yet.
I need to check my mail urgently, and I don?t know what?s going on!
Could you please unblock my account for me?
Thank you in advance!!!

Additional information: I have contacted Customer Support over a week ago about this, but got no reply yet. You can also contact me on er********se@gmail.com, as I didn't get a reply on er********se@mail.com.
Contact email address: er********se@mail.com
mail.com email address: er*****06@outgun.com"

"Dear mail.com Member,

Thank you for contacting the mail.com Support Team and your patience as we looked into this issue.

We regret to inform you that upon careful investigation and review by our mail security team, it has been determined that the account in question must remain blocked.

At mail.com, we place the highest priority on protecting the online security of all our customers. Unfortunately, this means we are occasionally forced to permanently block accounts that are associated with impermissible activity, as outlined in the mail.com Terms and Conditions.

We understand that you may not be directly responsible for the activity that caused your account to be blocked, and apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this has caused. However, because the decision to permanently block an account is based on serious security concerns, it is not possible to reverse it or to provide detailed information about the impermissible activity in question.

Thank you for your understanding and please accept our sincere apologies that we cannot further assist you in this case.

Kind regards,
Your mail.com Support Team"

Member @RedAlert,

Their last explanation does not come through as useful. This feels like an example of, Always Good To Have More Options; in your case, a few other choices for email providers.

Have you tried mail.com? Any difficulties there?-----No. Slash that. I reread; you already did try mail.com

RedAlert,
Posting your email addresses on an open forum. Are you trying to be spammed?

Sorry this happened to you Redalert. 19 years is a long time and to have your email account abruptly blocked is nonsense.
Hopefully this thread saves a few people from signing up with these guys.

Maybe a redundant comment but, mail.com may be worth trying and testing for several weeks while you decide how you like it. One could try it for less important messages and less important site registrations.

I stopped using my test account some two or three years ago. It was good email, but some of the other well-known email providers I like better.

Shouldn't you - as a MODERATOR - have been proactive, and edited/obfuscated the relevant information yourself?

Possibly, but assuming that RedAlert was following the thread that they posted in, I was giving them the opportunity to do it themselves.
I'll step in now.

While I am doing moderator stuff, I have moved RedAlerts post and all related posts to a new thread.
RedAlert posted about his problem with mail.com in a thread about gmx.com .
