Office 365 migrating out is a nightmare
Has anyone tried to do this recently?
It is next to impossible to migrate out & must be deliberately done. Tech giants really need controlling by governments. |

An easier option is to pay for an external application (sometimes even recommended by MS), or to Google (with their tools is easier but not pain free, either). |

What is so difficult to migrate? I'm not surprised that companies don't invest much time or effort in making it easy for people to leave their services. But, on the other hand it is pretty easy to do things like download folders from OneDrive and then reupload them to some other service.

Data migration, e.g. email, calendar, contacts.
Try it and you will see what I mean. It is an absolute nightmare. I resorted - as it was for a single user - to doing it manually. It is definitely done deliberately. No doubt about that. |

Even with imap enabled, app password created, it would not allow the migration. I was not prepared to purchase a further license (which was what was probably needed). The MS documentation is opaque and non MS guides use screenshots which are out of date and basically Exchange/o365 back panel sucks. |

And think about migration of OneDrive/sharepoint. Microsoft has hidden traffic limits. The process is not slowing down after you cross certain amount of data. It just stops for some time... |
